White Horse

In this oil painting study, I aimed to capture the subtle and vibrant transitions that occur when white surfaces are exposed to sunlight. When we describe a horse as "white," our initial mental image often defaults to a pristine, tube-white hue. However, in reality, white is a complex interplay of all the reflected light bouncing off the surroundings, posing a considerable challenge to reproduce with vibrancy. This specific challenge motivated me to delve into this study of a horse's head.Oil on panel, 5x5 (Frame not included)
