Our Sugar Free Dark Chocolate is produced with allulose, which is a direct sugar substitute for sucrose. Allulose is not metabolized by humans to any significant extent and blood glucose levels are not increased by consumption of allulose; this is why it contributes negligible calories when eaten. Also, allulose does not contribute to tooth decay unlike sucrose!
