Experience the nuanced flavors of terroir from around the world, including our 70% dark Maui Ku’ia Estate grown, 70% dark Semuliki Forest, Uganda and 70% dark Vanuatu. Our Sugar Free Dark Chocolate is produced with allulose, which is a direct sugar substitute for sucrose. Allulose is not metabolized by humans to any significant extent and blood glucose levels are not increased by consumption of allulose; this is why it contributes negligible calories when eaten. Also, allulose does not contribute to tooth decay unlike sucrose! Because allulose is only 70% as sweet as sucrose, we use a tiny amount of monk fruit extract to add additional sweetness to the chocolate. Monk fruit extract is a plant-based sweetener that also has no calories and has no effect on blood sugar levels.
