Intermediate Macrame Class — Macrame Wall Hanging (In Studio)

If you need to take a break from your routine, take a moment for yourself, and disconnect from the world of multitasking, this class is perfect for you! Intermediate Macrame Wall Hanging Class is great to expand your knotting skills and become a more confident macrame artist! SKILLS COVERED —  Challenge yourself to create a more intricate piece, learning more advanced knots and techniques.  After a quick review of the basics, you’ll learn sophisticated vertical and horizontal hitch knots as instructor, Alexis from ATL Macrame Co, guides you through the pattern. You’ll also get tips and tricks on how to perfect tension and symmetry, and how to care for your handmade pieces. It has been demonstrated that macrame is a meditative craft that helps to calm down, organize ideas, thoughts and emotions. It's ideal to learn to focus your attention on the present moment, and also exercise the brain! EXPERIENCE REQUIRED —  Previous macrame or textile art experience or prior participation in our Beginner's Workshop is suggested, but not required.  Alexis will briefly review the fundamentals, but will spend most instructional time on new knots and techniques.  Quick learners and high achievers are welcome, and we encourage everyone to go on and give it a try!  All levels of crafters are always encouraged to come exercise their creativity in our safe space, and the instructor will be there to help! (you will create a magnificent piece which you’ll be able to take home after class — YAY!) ABOUT THE CLASS —The class takes 2 hours.Due to Covid-19, we require staff and customers to wear a mask during the lesson, and we have restricted the number of people to 6 PERSONS PER CLASS.
