L-Tyrosine

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid synthesized in the body from the amino acid phenylalanine. It is a precursor to thyroid hormones and dopamine, which play a vital role in metabolism, stress response, energy production, reward, and motivation.* This formula provides 1,200 mg of tyrosine for its role as a cofactor in neurotransmitter production, along with added vitamin C, another required cofactor involved in the conversion of tyrosine to dopamine.* Tyrosine is ideally taken on an empty stomach or 2 hours before a protein-containing meal to avoid competition with other amino acids for absorption.  Recommended Use: Take 2 capsules per day on an empty stomach or as directed by your health-care practitioner.  * These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
