Phyllostachys Decora Bamboo   The Decora bamboo is a cold hardy giant timber reaching up to 30′ and hardy to -10°F.  It performs very well under stress of desert heat,  drought, or cold. It has massive drooping leaves on straight, upright culms.  It is a native to the Yangtze valley of China. The decora shoots up early in the year, with colorful culm sheaths and red to purple new shoots.Phyllostachys decoraCommon name:  Beautiful bamboo, Meizhu.Height x Diameter:  Ht. 30’x2.5”.Minimum temperature:  Hardy to -10°F USDA zone 6-10.
