Pikes Peak: Detail from The Crags: Fine Art Landscape Photography

Using a telephoto lens for a landscape image?  Sure, if it fits your vision and is necessary to make the photo.  When I first saw this location during a morning hike, I knew it would make a great photography print, but that it needed afternoon light (it's on the west side of Pikes Peak) and interesting clouds.  I love the light interacting with the granite dikes and pillars, the palette of blue sky, golden grasses, and dark green evergreens, and the way the shape of the sky mirrors the shape of the trees.
