She received a Master of Arts in Art Education and a New York State Teaching Certification from Brooklyn College, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. In addition to several years as an arts educator in Brooklyn, she has been a dresser at the Metropolitan Opera, a freelance art director and p
