Hamel #4

Exterior wall of the Hamel Music Center, Madison, Wisconsin. It is inspiring to  observe the wall's appearance change at different times of day and in different lighting conditions. On a sunny day, I timed this session when I knew the sun angle would rake across the surface. It was a short window of opportunity, on a winter day, and I caught it just in time. For this concept, I used a duotone technique that applied baby-blue to lighter tones and red to the shadows.  Details Paper Size: 13 x 19 inches Image Size: 10.5 x 15.75 inches Margins: about 1.25 inches Paper: 100% cotton rag paper.
