Landscape in Rust

The foundation of this print is a photograph of a rusty metal plate in a back alley in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin. I take too many pictures of rusty metal and weathered, peeling paint! I often use such images as layers to add texture and grit to otherwise flat fields of color. In this case, the captured image of rust is the foundation of the composition.
