KETONEX®-1 Amino acid-modified infant formula with iron, Nutrition support of infants and toddlers with maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) or beta-ketothiolase deficiency. Use under medical supervision.  PRECAUTIONS Give only to infants and toddlers with proven maple syrup urine disease who are under medical supervision. Do not boil mixture or use terminal sterilization. Must be supplemented with protein and fluid in prescribed amounts to completely meet isoleucine, leucine, valine and water requirements. Never use a microwave oven to warm formula. Serious burns can result. Not intended as a sole source of nutrition. Not for IV use.
