Benchmark’s D1000 handheld homogenizer is a powerful, versatile tool for quickly processing biological samples. It efficiently homogenizes, emulsifies, suspends, and disrupts samples ranging from 0.1 ml to 250 ml, depending on the probe used. Operating as a rotor–stator homogenizer, it draws liquid samples into the probe and forces them through stator slots to create strong mechanical shearing, achieving thorough homogenization—often in under 30 seconds. The unit is driven by a 130 W motor with adjustable speeds from 8,500 to 30,000 rpm across six settings, allowing precise control for different applications. It supports four interchangeable stainless-steel generator probes designed for microtubes, standard centrifuge tubes, and larger vessels, all of which are autoclavable for sterilization.
