Pepper (Shisito) OG - live plant
Annual Vegetable Capsicum annuum Thin walled fruits up to 3 1/2inches long. Full sun. Soil should be moist, rich and well drained. May be grown in a container. One 4 inch pot will contain 2 plants for best yield. Called the roulette of peppers as it is said that 1 in 10 will be fiery hot. From Johnny's where we source these seeds: " Popular in Japan, where its thin walls make it particularly suitable for tempura. Also very good roasted, in stir-fries, or sautéed. In Asia, the fruits are always cooked green, but they may also be used red. Thinly sliced, the red, slightly sweet fruits are excellent in salads and cole slaws. " At Meeting House Farm we grow these peppers and grill them for appetizers. They are perfect to pop in your mouth. Side note: We've never gotten a hot one...so perhaps calling these a roulette pepper is an urban myth. Our pepper plants are available in 4 inch pots. Each pot contains two plants which should be planted together. Harvest in 60 days
