Geranium

Description Native to Southern Africa, Geranium has been a prized ingredient in perfumery for centuries. With both rose and lemon type notes in its smell, Geranium has a long list of uses both aromatically and topically. It is renowned for it's skin clearing and hair strengthening abilities and has also been used in culinary applications. With over 200 varieties of the Pelargonium genus, only a handful are used to create essential oils due to the ranges in aromatic profiles. Many of the flowers, which vary in color, are used in baking and are eaten as a garnish.
