Walk in and Weave a Towel, Learn to Weave on a Floor Loom

In my Philadelphia, PA studio, you can simply walk in and weave a towel. You will weave the towel and leave with a beautiful handmade item that you created yourself! You will learn the basics of how a floor loom works, how to throw a shuttle and what equipment is necessary to start. Then, if you choose, you can sign up for 3 more private lessons where I will guide you through the complexities of learning how to weave. You can learn on an 8 or 12 shaft floor loom. As an artist who now weaves to sell, I started as a studio artist and shifted when my children were born. That shift took me to sewing, where I created home accessories as a side business.  Once my children began to leave the house, I went back to my love of weaving. I understand drafting, design, and color interaction. As I kept weaving, I also learned there are many different ways to do almost anything in weaving.
