While the tooth is worn like most fossils from the Elrhaz Formation, it is quite a good size for the species. Suchomimus is a large baryonychine spinosaurid from the Elrhaz Formation related to the Baryonyx from England. While not as famous as it's younger cousin, the Spinosaurus, Suchomimus lived alongside famous genera like Sarcosuchus and Ouranosaurus. Fossils from the Elrhaz Formation are notorious for their unique polished look making the weathered specimens somewhat easy to distinguish from Jurassic material found in the same region, and unfortunately, commonly mixed together.
