The design process started with 3D laser scanning the entire OEM exhaust system and underside of the GT3 engine using a CREAFORM 700 Handscan so that they could make a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. Fabspeed then CAD designed the exhaust and fixtures using that model so the exhaust fit perfectly to OEM Porsche Motorsport standards. After multiple revisions for sound quality and incremental dyno testing they decided to use their signature cast 70mm 2.75" X-pipe to tie the two flat-six cylinder banks together for exhaust scavenging and to defeat resonance. The exhaust valves are made by Helical Limited in the United Kingdom.
