Forthave Spirits Black Nocino - Brooklyn, NY (375ml)

This is the second release of BLACK Nocino, a walnut-infused digestivo that is most commonly associated with Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Sardinia and Corsica. Forthave uses every part of foraged green, underripe walnuts, particularly the husk. The nuts are crushed and macerated in a neutral spirit with a touch of organic, raw cane sugar, and rests in barrel for nine months. The potion is then re-infused with a Black Walnut spirit for another nine months. The result is a sweet but not quite syrupy, complex digestivo with distinct nutty flavors, subtle warm spice notes and just a touch of bitters. Enjoy a splash in your coffee, over ice cream or neat after a hearty meal.
