HAINT BLUE is a light light, airy and a little mysterious blue. The name comes from “it Haint blue and it Haint white” and will remind you of porch ceilings throughout South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The term is seeped in superstition. The word “haint’ is used to describe restless ghosts, called "haints" that sneak into your home and cause all sorts of trouble. It is believed that haints don’t like water and wont cross it. Therefore, the ceilings of the porches are painted this blue to keep them from entering their home. Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint is one of the easiest paints to use for DIY projects.
