Origin: Annona is a genus of flowering plants in the sugar apple/ soursop family, Annonaceae. It is the second largest genus in the family containing approximately 166 species of mostly Neotropical and Afrotropical trees and shrubs. Flavor Profile: Annonaceae is one of our favorite fruit families for its wide range of flavors, textures, and colors.
