When Eggfruit comes into season and is ready to harvest from the trees, you will receive your order as soon as possible.*** Important Info: Canistel varieties come in many different shapes and sizes. There's long and skinny, short and fat, as big as your head, as small as a tangerine, and everything in between. The “Small Box” will generally contain smaller pieces of fruit and the “Large Box” will generally contain larger pieces of fruit. Origin: Canistel is native to Mexico and Central America. The Eggfruit we offer is grown in South Florida. Flavor Profile: The Canistel fruit, also known as Eggfruit or Yellow Sapote has a dense, cake-like texture similar to the yolk of a hard-boiled egg.  How To Eat: Eggfruit may need time to ripen after delivery.
