President Theodore Roosevelt visited the Michigan State Capitol on May 31, 1907. While at the capitol he addressed the legislature, attended a reception in the governor's office, and spoke to a crowd of thousands assembled on Capitol Square. In 2007 the Michigan Capitol Committee hosted a series of events celebrating the centennial of the president's visit, and issued this commemorative ornament. Ornament measures 3 1/4" tall by 3 1/2" wide.
