Here at the MHS we value the opportunity to help the community thrive and preserve the delicate history of the region. Your donation insures that the MHS and its historic sites continue to maintain, sustain, and grow, as well as offer quality programming to tourists and community members alike. The MHS has seen unprecedented growth and expansion recently and we are gearing up for even more as we head into the next couple of years. As you know, MHS has purchased the Walker Furniture Building, which will become the new home of the Michilimackinac Historical Society and Fort de Buade Museum (following extensive renovation), as well as the beautiful Historic Mulcrone House on McCann Street. We also witnessed the opening of an extension to the museum on Mackinac Island, which brings our incomparable McKenney and Hall Portrait Gallery to island visitors and residents who may not have the opportunity to see it otherwise.
