Meiji BD-M-LED Pole Microscope Stand - Darkfield

BD-M-LED is a research grade Brightfield /Darkfield Pole type stand for the EM Series stereo microscopes. It has a large stable work surface and a rotatable lens/mirror system which provides transmitted LED intensity illumination and a sliding mirror provides tilt, as well as front to back movement which allows the user to vary illumination from Brightfield LED to Darkfield LED illumination at an appropriate angle. It can be an effective tool used for research to view living bacteria, or at low magnifications to view tissues, cells or embryo transfer where in oblique transmitted illumination is critical to the experiment. Marine biologists continue to use darkfield transmitted illumination at low powers to observe and record data about fresh and salt water organisms such as algea as well as striae in transparent material and plankton in aqueous solution.
