Sterile Pre-Poured Agar Plate (REJECTS)

Sometimes when pouring agar plates we get some that either have bubbles, specs, swirls, excess condensation or other less desirable features in them. These are purely cosmetic and do not effect the sterility or performance of the agar. Instead of wasting them we're offering them to you for a discount. Color cannot be chosen since it just depends on what we have available.  Parafilm for sealing is NOT included for rejects. Saranwrap, press and seal or even painters tape will work. Just ensure there's a good seal around the entire edge.  What are agar plates? Agar plates are used to germinate spores, isolate mycelium away from contamination and to expand mycelium. Agar is a very nutritious gel that has been sterilized and then poured into petri dishes.
