Intro to Stone Setting: Pendants - 6 to 7 hours

This workshop is similar to the Statement Ring workshop but will cover pendant and necklace attachments instead of ring shanks. Included materials are also different in this workshop, see below. In this fun and challenging class students will learn how to make a bezel setting for a cabochon stone (which has a flat bottom and rounded top). Stones will be available and included in the price. We will go over how to get a snug fit for the bezel, the basics of soldering, how to get a clean bond without melting your metal, general pendant design, and embellishments like stamping or hammered texture. This class works well for total beginners with no experience as well as people who have already been making jewelry and want a crash course on soldering. Included Materials - Brass and bronze for your backplate design, silver chain, silver clasp, silver bezel and a cabochon stone are all included in the price.
