Rivets and Texture: Statement Earrings or Pendant - 4 hours

In this workshop students will design and create their own statement earrings or pendant with the option of using rivets as a connection point. This class is great for students who want to learn how to create jewelry without the use of a torch. We will have time to sketch out ideas, go over a few different techniques and then get to work. Students will learn how to cut sheet metal with a jewelers saw, smooth edges with hand files, drill holes with a drill press and how to properly attach their shapes using hand-cut and hammered rivets and/or jump rings. Soldering will not be covered in this class. Included Materials: Brass, bronze and copper materials and silver ear wires are included. Students can use silver for an additional cost paid during class.
