Kunisada - Beautiful Women at Famous Places in Edo

Utagawa Kunisada Yoshi-machi, from the series Beautiful Women at Famous Places in Edo. There is no signature on the inset, so presumably it is by Kunisada himself. A shamisen player just arrived at Yoshi-cho. The publisher, Yamamoto-ya, is depicted in "koma-e" (the small window). This series was probably produced due to the popularity of the "Famous Places in Edo Compared with 100 Beauties" series that is the same except for the title cartouche. Date: 1850's Publisher: Yamamotoya Heikichi Condition: Good color and impression. Not backed, some glue residue.
