Kuniyoshi - 100 Warriors - Soga Brothers

Utagawa Kuniyoshi  Scene of the capture of Goro of the Soga brothers. The Soga brothers, Soga Sukenari and Tokimune assassinated Kudō Suketsune, the killer of their biological father. This is a color, two page spread from Kuniyoshi's book featuring 100 warriors from history and legend. Almost all the ukiyo-e artists also illustrated books as well as designing woodblock prints and paintings.
