Hokusai - Irises and Peonies with Finches

Katsushika Hokusai A wonderful kacho-ga design. The title of this print varies since some sources call the birds finches and some sparrows. I will go with the British Museum's translation. The signature reads: Saki no Hokusai Iitsu hitsu. Translation: From the brush of Iitsu, the former Hokusai. We matched up this print to the ones from the British Museum and the MFA, the blocks seem to match. Date: 1830's Condition: Discolored with age, not backed, margins as shown.
