The 2019 growing season resembled conventional Oregon summers and falls, as temperatures remained mild and steady with no concerning heat spikes. Early onset fall rain created a challenging harvest, shortening pick times however, timing harvest with sun breaks provided ideal hang-time for sugar/acid development, increasing complexity and flavor concentration. The Willamette Valley, a well-distinguished and established appellation - 150 miles long and up to 60 miles wide, protected by the Coast Range to the west and the Cascades to the east.
