Coppo Barbera d’Asti

There are two regions in northern Italy that produce this undervalued overachieving varietal, Alba & Asti. I honestly could not say which region I like better as the wines have comparable quality but different characteristics. With Asti’s, these wines have a muscular core of dark fruit, beautifully balanced with natural acidity that begs for a large platter of antipasto to enjoy with.
