Wearable art designed with panache and personality!! This gorgeous huipil is a very lightly woven pattern in licorice with intricate colorful images embroidered throughout and azure vertical bands creating a stunning look.  Artisan created in Xochistlahuaca, Guerro, Mexico. Our dresses take time to create. Cotton must be gathered, natural dyes from flowers, roots and vegetables collected, yarn spun, weaving completed. All this happens around the rhythm of daily life in each of our artisan's communities. At Mimi Designs, our focus is on smaller-batch collections with zero-waste designs. This means slower production schedules than we may be used to. Each of our pieces is made using the traditional Mexican hand-weaving style which takes on average between four to six weeks per dress. This is the way and style it has been for generations: no machinery, just the weavers with their looms.  Size & Fit• 100% cotton• Dry clean or hand wash in cold water.
