This de-icer protects livestock by operating from the bottom of the tank, where they are less likely to disturb it. The heating element is made of strong, durably stainless steel, and is thermostatically controlled for efficiency. The thermostatic control is coupled with thermal feedbacks, protecting the de-icer from overheating. Thermostat is positioned above the heating element for low water safety. Includes galvanized wire guard for use in plastic tanks.  Recommended use is for 70-100 gallons of water.  6' cord features anti-rub protector for durability.
