The Mix - Small

A 2.75" diameter, carbon-fiber infused mixing head for glazes and slip.  These are designed specifically to pull material from the bottom of the mixing container and minimize entrained air during the mixing process.  The base plastic is a biopolymer that will last a good long time, but also will degrade quickly in a landfill situation once disposed of.This mixing head does not include the mixing shaft.  We recommend the following shaft from McMaster Carr:  https://www.mcmaster.com/4162N16/ This is a 24" long, 3/8" diameter, solid carbon steel shaft with an internal 1/4-20 threading at one end to attach the mixing head.  Wash and dry the shaft after use.  Any shaft with internal 1/4-20 threading at one end is suitable for use with these mixing heads.  The actual performance of shafts other than solid is on the user.  The recommended shaft can be used with any corded or cordless drill with a 3/8" chuck or larger.
