If you’ve ever had a who’s who Brooklyn conversation how long did it take before you got a “Brooklyn Woody?” One of the most iconic Brooklynites, born: Allen Stewart Konigsber 12/1/1935 (in the Bronx, what?) legally changed his name to Heywood Allen at 17 years old and been Woody ever since. There’s no refuting his brilliance as an actor, director, screenwriter, musician (the list goes on and on) – nevertheless this print was very close to being named “Brooklyn Strange,” but don’t you just love him anyway! I guess people can say whatever they want about this mastermind
