Lichen Duster

We're OBSESSED with this incredible one of a kind piece. This un-dyed vintage West African textile was so beautiful but a bit tired. It was really too stained to use so we over-dyed it and patched it up inside. The results are so lovely!  Perfect lightweight, texture rich, piece with a soft drape. Deep side vents give it nice movement and make it the perfect layering piece. It's even more stunning in person. Made with a vintage textile from Burkina Faso, West Africa. This beautiful fabric was handwoven in small strips that were then sewn together to create a sarong like cloth before being dyed. The whole process took weeks, even longer when you consider that they often grew the cotton! Imperfections, distress patterns, small holes or stains are common features of this beautiful and storied fabric. *Measurements taken on garments laid flat. Width across back: 42" Length: 41"
