SECONDS/IMPERFECT   Visually understand what components make a whole! This work allows a child to develop part-whole reasoning while also continuing to develop and refine their fine motor skills, spatial understanding, concentration, and sense of order.   This material includes:  Part-Part-Whole wooden board 10 whole coins 2 sets of 1-10 parts coins  20 wooden balls Children will be intrigued by the manipulation of the wooden balls and the process of sliding the wooden balls through the channels/bridges on the board.  Self-correcting indicators include the numerals printed on the parts coins.  A variation of this work includes reversing the process (choosing two parts coins first and moving them through the channels to determine their whole).  This concept can also be introduced with our 10s Part-Part-Whole Board and our teen Part-Part-Whole Board for extensions.
