1870s Aesthetic Movement Moser Art Glass Vase Raised Gold decor, Monumental 16"

This beautiful cylindrical vase is from the aesthetic period, dated around the  1870s. The body of this bohemian art glass vase ranges in color from translucent  white to a deep amethyst at the base. The piece is finished with a flared  opalescent foot. On each side are very interesting applied glass strap handles  and beautiful gilt decoration throughout. This piece is not signed, but because of  its quality and unusualness we believe it to be Moser. Approximate Dimensions: height - 16 1/4" width of base - 4 7/8" width of vase opening - 2 1/8" Condition: There is a very minor chip at the top of the opening. Because of use, there is some  light wear of the applied paint throughout the handles, around the opening, and the  base.
