18th c Beautiful Faience Unusual Snuff Box Paul Hannong Strasburg France 1750

We are offering A very lovely and beautifully hand painted Strasbourg, France, tin-glazed earthenware,Faience Snuff Box.  The box is signed on the underside with the date of 1750and the mark is for the Paul Hannong factoryin Strasbourg, France.This unusual shaped snuff box is hand painted and decorated with flowers on the side borders.  The top has a lovely scene of a woman watering the plants in her garden.The box is hinged and has a tight fit.It is in good order and can be used.Dimensions:    approximaely     1 1/2" at the highest point.                        approximately    2 1/2" in length                        approximately    1 1/2" across the topWeight:            74 g.Condition:       Very good age-related condition: the brass fittings show oxidation, and the finish shows some soil from use.  No chips                         or losses to the piece.                        loc.
