A circa 1820s-40s This wonderful 19th Century Hudson River School Folk Art Landscape Painting. This painting is of an extensive landscape on the edge of a river with people going about their business, doing their daily work under a beautiful cloud filled sky. This is an very appealing and colorful naive painting. Stenciled on reverse "RL & G Drake / Artist Depot / Troy NY". Most likely the original frame. Dimensions: frame - approx. 28 1/4" x 33 1/2" canvas - approx. 24" x 30" Condition: This piece is in age-related condition. Craquelure throughout the painting. There are various chips around the frame.Please note there are new stretcher keys, so the canvas is nice and tight. Does not appear to have any over paint.
