c.1850s S. Kirk & Son Coin Silver Lidded Tea Pot Baltimore Style Repousse RARE
This mid-19th-century Coin Silver teapot or covered pitcher was made by the renowned American silversmiths Samuel Kirk & Son. It features an overall Baltimore Style repoussé design, featuring floral patterns, birds, dogs, and a rams head handle. The lid is unusual and uncommon; it hinges open on the side to reveal a strain at the spout. The front of the pitcher has the initials "G.D.A." framed by the floral pattern and dog.
