C. 1855 Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Bride's Basket HEAVY1000G.or 32.2 oz. We are offering... A very heavy handmade, hand repoussé, and engraved Tiffany & Co silver bride's basket that dates 1855. The Tiffany & Co mark which dates 1854-55 which is stamped on the bottom of this hand made piece along with English Sterling 925-1000 mark. (Tiffany was one of the very first American companies to use the sterling 925 mark.) The basket has a scalloped rim and hand repoussé ribbon pattern. The brides basket has a beautifully handmade engraved scalloped movable handle. The piece stands high on a pedestal which has a repeating scallop and hand repoussé design. The piece has never been monogrammed. Approx. Dimensions: Height: 4.25" with handle down with handle up 10 1\2" Width: 10.1\2" Depth: 9.3\4" Weight: 1,000g or 32.2 troy oz Condition: Beautiful age-related condition.
