We are offering An early 20th century Japanese Bronze Usubata Vase with unique figural legs in the form of Children holding the bronze vessel. The Usubata vase has makers marks on both pieces. (SEE PHOTOS) The broad rim of the Usubata Vase sits atop a tapered body. Usubata vases are cast in bronze and have been used since the 16th century for decorative floral arrangements or "Ikebana". Approx. Dimensions: Height: 9 1/2" Width/diameter top: 11 7/8" Width diameter base: 6 1/2" Approx. Weight: 10 pounds Condition: this ikebana Usubata is in very fine condition with an overall patina and light oxidation to the interior and the underside of the top rim..
