We are offering A Mid 19th Century, George Washington Chatterton, Coin Silver Spoon. This Coin Silver Spoon is made in the popular Fiddle pattern with a shell scoop.  George Washington Chatterton was a Jeweler to Abraham Lincoln, and inscribed Mary Todd's ring. Chatterton was Born 1822, active between 1842 -1874, Died 1888.  He worked in 1842-1874 as a jeweler in Springfield IL at 121 South Fifth Street.  The spoon is inscribed with the name Rhea G W Chatterton's logo is on the back of the spoon Approx. Dimensions: Length: 6 1/4" Width: 1 1/2" Approx. weight: 28 grams Condition: this spoon is in fine age-related condition with some light wear to the shell scoop's rim indicative of use.  the spoon is engraved on the handle.
