Late 18th ea. 19th c Heavy Bronze Mortar & Pestle Twin Handles, Tulip Shape Top

We are offeringA Small to Medium sized heavy Bronze Early Mortar & PestleThis smaller size was used in an apothecary shopsto grind medicinal potions.This Mortar has twin handles and a tulip shape top. This style was quite often seen in Dutch or Northern European Countries.The body of the mortar has horizontal circular designs.The Pestle has the same circular designs.This Mortar & Pestle is both useful and decorative.Dimensions:  Mortar:  4" high, 4 1/2" across the top                                   2 5/8" across the bottom.                      Pestle:  7 1/2" longCondition:      A very good age-related condition, a few minor nicks, and scuffs from use, original old patina.                        Please see all photos for complete description                      Loc F     id 50 Listed with ExportYourStore.com
