We are offering  A superb Late 19th Century French finely detailed Bronze sculpture of a Boxer Dog. This sculpture is attributed to the French artist Pierre-Jules Mene. There is no visible signature. Note:  the number 3 on the bottom of one of the front paws.(see photo) The detail seen in the dog-collar, the face, and paws, make this sculpture an exceptional  piece of sculpture art. Pierre Jules (P.J.) Mene (1810 - 1879)  c.1860's was active/lived in France.   Pierre Jules Mene is known for Realistic animal sculpture, dogs, horses, wildlife. This bronze sculpture is free standing with no indication of having been mounted to a plinth or base. Approx.
