Pair of Early 19th C. English George 111 Sterling & Gilt Salt Cellars and Spoons
We are offering A Beautiful pair of c.1819 English, George 111 (Regency era) Highly decorated Sterling Silver, with Gilt Interior, Salt Cellars. The Salt Spoons are also of the same period and dated 1828 -1829. The pair of Large Master Salt Cellars were made in 1819 by William Eaton, A highly regarded London Silversmith. He designed these ornate pieces with shell & paw feet using the popular designs of the time, taken from the ancient Greece & Roman Classical designs. These beautiful Salts have full hallmarks and with an unusual Armorial Crest engraved with a squirrel. The Master Salt Spoons were both made in 1828 - 29. by two different Silver makers. Owen Fielding, a master spoon maker in Exeter, England Jonathan Hayne a master spoon maker in London England. These spoons have a downward-turned end with full hallmarks on the stem.
