Portrait by Charles G. Tracy of Jean Abendroth d.1932, San Diego Daley Estate
Charles G. Tracy was obviously the family's favored portraitist as exemplified by this significant hire. Jean Abendroth married Mr. Daley and they moved into Jean's home (designed by Riqua) that she inherited from her aunt at 2705 Barnson Place, Bankers Hill, San Diego, CA. The painting comes with a framed photograph of Jean Abendroth Daley as a girl, c.1932. The family's Bankers Hill mansion and original art and antiques collection remained intact until it was dispensed in 2015. Miss Abendroth's father was the first Concertmaster of the San Diego symphony; he is credited as a founder of the San Diego Symphony in 1927.
