The standard Dampt Chablis sources 100% of its Chardonnay from vineyards directly adjacent to the premier cru vineyard of Vaillons, from vines just a few rows over the borderline. However, while the Vaillons expression will run you $50 (if you can find it), the standard Chablis is about half that price and offers much of the same minerality, depth, and deliciousness.
